A European innovation hub is being created to drive the competitiveness of the sheet metal forming industry<\/h1><\/div>
\"null\"<\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1561038192422{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]The FormPlanet project<\/strong> will create an Open Innovation TestBed (OITB)<\/strong> in Europe for the purpose of increasing the productivity of metal forming industries<\/strong> by developing new experimental methodologies and modelling approaches for predicting and optimizing the performance of materials and parts and for reducing the marketing time of new developments in this area.<\/p>\n

The project is framed within the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 programme<\/strong>, and it is backed by a European consortium formed by three research centres (Eurecat, coordinator of the project, plus Fraunhofer IWU and COMTES FHT AS<\/strong>), two universities (Lulea Tekniska Universitet and Universit\u00e0 di Pisa<\/strong>), three companies (LETOMEC, Granta DESIGN and APPLUS – LGAI Technological Center, SA<\/strong>), eight industrial enterprises (Centro Ricerche FIAT, ArcelorMittal, Arania, Estamp, Arcelik, ALUDIUM, AP&T and Lamera<\/strong>) and UNE as the standardization body.[\/vc_column_text]
