She then outlined some of the measures the company has implemented to rectify this situation.<br \/>\nShe highlighted the importance of working from the very beginning, collaborating with recruitment agencies to attract women willing to take on direct production roles. However, it was also clear that none of these errors had been intentional.<\/p>\n<p>As Leire explained, the reality was quite different: \u201cWe had not been sensitive to these points and had not adapted to the new circumstances. \u201cCorrecting these aspects went hand in hand with more far-reaching actions, starting with a training programme aimed at all employees: \u201cWe wanted the \u2018awakening\u2019 of the equality committee to extend to the entire workforce,\u201d so that everyone could act within their own area of responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>This was followed by initiatives to promote work-life balance, which are already used by 10% of male production workers, and finally a plan to progressively adapt workstations by improving ergonomic conditions.<\/p>\n<p>This journey, she said, has allowed her to observe \u201cwith a sense of hope\u201d that both at Arania and in other industrial companies, the presence of women in technical and leadership positions is becoming increasingly widespread. However, based on her own experience, she emphasised the need to extend this initiative into the future: \u201cThis path should not be walked by women alone. It is a journey for both men and women. It is essential to work together to build diverse teams and achieve successful results.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She thus concluded her speech with a double message. First, she addressed industrial companies directly: \u201cDo we want to lose 50% of talent, or do we want diverse teams that generate business?\u201d She then encouraged women \u201cto be authentic, to think about where they want to go, and to be themselves.\u201d \u201cThere is a place for you in industry,\u201d she concluded.<br \/>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;]<div class=\"dt-fancy-separator title-left h2-size accent-title-color\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><div class=\"dt-fancy-title\"><span class=\"separator-holder separator-left\"><\/span>Laura Abasolo: \u201cToday\u2019s leadership, more inspirational than hierarchical, fits very well with women\u201d<span class=\"separator-holder separator-right\"><\/span><\/div><\/div>[vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]A similar perspective was shared by her fellow speakers. Laura Abasolo, Director of Finance and Control at Telef\u00f3nica, encouraged women to have confidence in themselves and to \u201cgo for it\u201d when facing professional challenges, as \u201cthere are no guaranteed formulas for success\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>She also stressed the importance of companies maintaining \u201copen recruitment processes\u201d and being willing to \u201ctake risks\u201d when hiring women. Laura Abasolo added that today\u2019s leadership style, which is \u201cmore inspirational than hierarchical\u201d, \u201cfits very well\u201d with women, and highlighted the need to pursue equality \u201chand in hand with men\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>For her part, Leire Zarraga, Director of Human Capital at Ormazabal, highlighted the need to tackle the \u201cimpostor syndrome\u201d that leads many women to undervalue their own achievements and mistakenly attribute success to luck. She defended female leadership, which she said stems from women\u2019s greater capacity for empathy, more participative decision-making, and high levels of resilience and adaptability.
